Like our Vets, all our nurses are highly experienced and love spending time caring for animals. We offer free of charge nursing consultations, exclusively for our clients. Our extensive facilities and range of equipment means we are a Veterinary Nurse training practice and very lucky to have so many fully qualified nurses around to help us look after your pets when they come to stay. This means plenty of 1-on-1 attention and frequent cuddles.
- Maria Peart NCert(AnBeh) RVN is our head theatre nurse and a friendly face for many of our clients. Maria has been with Dragon Vets, Cheltenham for 17 years and has a variety of pets including Fergus and Poppy, seen in this picture. Maria is certified to hold behavioural consultations for dogs and cats. If you think your pet may have a behavioural problem and are interested in seeing Maria, please visit the pet behaviour section of the website. She will be off on maternity leave soon for the arrival of her first child.
- Caro Dyson RVN has been with the practice for over 20 years! Caroline is a fully qualified veterinary nurse who’s main role is to make sure that sufficient stock and supplies are ordered for our client’s needs. She can often be found behind the scenes, tending to Humphrey, our practice cat!
- Dawn Richings RVN joined the team at Dragon Vets in Cheltenham during 2003. Dawn enjoys all aspects of nursing and has two young children Jack and Harry.
- Nichola Flambard RVN – Nikki joined the team at Dragon in 2016 and became the head nurse of our branch practice in Charlton Kings, she oversees the running of the branch there and has an interest in marketing. Nikki is keen on travelling and has explored different countries, even working abroad. She is currently planning for her wedding later this year.
- Alex-Louise Bache RVN – Alex has been a Veterinary Nurse for 7 years and worked in a busy mixed animal practice in Mid Devon. After qualifying as Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2016, Alex wanted a change and a new veterinary nursing experience, Alex joined us at Dragon in April 2017. Alex has a keen interest of pet nutrition, weight management and behaviour and puppy parties.
- Daria Bukowska – Daria joined the practice in March 2017 as a first year veterinary nursing student. She loves big dogs, especially Akita Inu dogs. She enjoys cycling, trekking and baking in her spare time.
- Courtney Clift joined the practice in June 2017 as a second year student veterinary nurse. She has a Golden Retriever called Alfie and enjoys spending time cheering up unwell patients in the hospital. In her spare time when she isn’t studying Courtney loves going to music concerts and watching Disney movies.
- Stacy Bromfield joined the team of nurses in 2018, she has a particular passion for emergency and critical care and being a clinical coach helping to train new students. She has a Border collie called Tigger who she does agility with. In her spare time she enjoys attending circus aerial classes, reading books and walking or running in the countryside
- Sarah Stewart RVN joined the team at Dragon in September 2018. She enjoys all aspects of nursing, particularly Schedule 3 procedures and nurse consultations. She lives in Cheltenham with her partner and their Bernese Mountain Dog. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding, exploring the Cotswolds and baking.
- Charlotte Greaves qualified in 2020. She enjoys long walks in the countryside with dogs and family, eating out and days out with friends and loves cuddling all the patients.
- Ella Coldrick joined Dragon in 2018 as a newly qualified Veterinary nurse with a passion for inpatient nursing care as well as anaesthesia and surgical nursing. She has a Westie called Oscar and a Jack Russell Terrier called Buster to keep her busy even when not at work. She enjoys new challenges and is looking forward to a busier practice to expand her nursing skills. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and baking.
- Nicki joined the practice in October 2018 as a student veterinary nurse. She loves all animals, domestic and wild and loves to travel. Nicki has volunteered for several projects abroad, either assisting with research or at rehabilitation centres – in particular at a rhino sanctuary. In her spare time Nicki volunteers at a local animal rescue centre and also enjoys baking. She is looking forward to learning about all aspects of veterinary nursing.
- Heather Tunnicliffe returned to the team of nurses at Dragon in 2019 after exploring the world and volunteering at animal rescue centres abroad. At weekends she enjoys walking her dogs Islay and Pippa and helping out with charity work such as Street Vet.
- Fran graduated as a Veterinary Nurse in 2020 and joined the team in June of 2020. Fran has a keen interest in nurse clinics and medical nursing. In her spare time she enjoys kickboxing, running and dog walks with friends.
- Poppy joined the Dragon team back in March. She is in the second year of her veterinary nursing training having previously worked at The Coldicott and Kingsway practices. Poppy enjoys working for a busier practice and has a keen interest in surgical nursing. In her spare time she enjoys exploring the Cotswolds and cinema trips!
- Sarah Stewart joined the team in September 2018 after working at veterinary hospitals in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Derby. She enjoys all aspects of nursing and is one of the faces behind our social media. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding and exploring the Cotswolds with her Bernese Mountain dog called Wookiee.
- Emilie Richardson qualified as an RVN in Ireland, where is from, in 2013 after exploring a variety of different careers, including 5 years as a horse trekking guide on the South Island of New Zealand. She moved to the Cotswolds in 2015 and spent 3 years as an equine nurse before locuming for a variety of veterinary hospitals both in the UK and Channel Islands. In her spare time Emilie loves to walk, hike and bake. She has a German Short-Haired Pointer called Hobbes with whom she hopes to start agility training with in the near future.
- Amy Williams is currently studying at Hartpury university towards a BSc in Veterinary Nursing Science. She really enjoys the hands on training and wants to learn more about nursing consultations. In her spare time, she loves to bake and walk around the Cotswolds and Malverns with her friends.
