Update: We are delighted to announce that Dragon Vets acquired the Coldicott & Kingsway Veterinary Clinics from John Coldicott during March 2020. Although John is planning on reducing his hours, he remains available to see clients for the foreseeable future and you are able to continue seeing both your usual vets and nurses, together with our team at Dragon.

We are thrilled to welcome John’s staff and clients to Dragon and look forward to meeting everyone over the coming months. We have completed the transition and all our vets have full access to your pets clinical records.

Please also note, than following the coronavirus, Covid-19 pandemic, we have closed the Coldicott Barton St clinic and are concentrating all our efforts at our newly renovated clinic at 31 Church St, GL20 5PD, by the abbey (see map below). Our phones have been diverted so you will be able to call us on either clinic number to make appointments or organize a phone consultation (if you are self-isolating). Until further notice we would request that you contact us by phone to book a specific consultation time rather than use the traditional drop in surgeries as this will reduce your waiting time and potential exposure to other clients in the waiting area.

Today, 24th March 2020, we made the really difficult decision to temporarily close our Kingsway clinic due to the coronavirus pandemic. The telephone lines have been diverted to Dragon Vets (Cheltenham Racecourse) where we can offer emergency appointments to all our clients. We will re-open our Kingsway branch as soon as the government restrictions are relaxed. For further information, please see our Coronavirus, Covid-19 advice page

Dragon Vets – Now Open in Tewkesbury!

Now open and accepting new client registrations! Call us today on 01684 217708 to book an appointment and meet Matt, our vet and Sarah our veterinary nurse.

On 19th November, 2018, we opened our brand new branch of Dragon Vets. This allows us to serve our clients that live in Tewkesbury much more easily and brings the expertise of Dragon Vets, to the town.

We offer a fully refurbished and equipped clinic with full diagnostic (blood/urine testing, XRAY, Ultrasound) and surgical capabilities. If your pet dog, cat, rabbit, or rodent needs to see our team for simple treatments such as vaccinations or flea/worming medication, or requires detailed investigations or an operation, we are able to offer these comprehensive services at an affordable rate.

For more complex cases, patients may be referred to our main surgery, based on the Cheltenham racecourse. Here we can offer same-day CT scanning, echocardiography, and laparoscopic (key-hole) procedures and we have on-site night vets and nurses (Chelvets Ltd) with full access to your pet’s medical history should your pet need to be hospitalised overnight.

Our head vet, Matt, has many years of experience dealing with pets both in Australia and in the UK, whilst Sarah, our practice nurse is highly experienced having worked previously in referral clinics. Both are very dedicated and approachable, being more than happy to chat to owners about their pet’s individual needs. Feel free to pop in if passing or to call on 01684 217708 to arrange a visit.
